David Byers

David Byers has extensive work experience in information technology. David currently holds the position of Director of Information Technology at Texas Health Action, where they oversee all technology operations and provides guidance in selecting and implementing technology solutions. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at the State Preservation Board, where they held various roles, including Director of Information Resources, Information Resources Manager, and Data Management Officer. In these roles, they managed IT assets, support, and services for multiple locations and collaborated with other IT teams for infrastructure upgrades and hardware purchasing. David also played a key role in coordinating and developing the agency's business continuity plan for IT. Earlier in their career, David worked as a Network Administrator at SSRS Property Management, where they designed and configured servers and implemented network upgrades.

David Byers attended Texas A&M University from 1991 to 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree with a focus on Environmental Design.
