Juan Benitez

Juan Benitez has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit and public sector. Juan is currently serving as the Chief Advancement Officer at Texas Health Action, where they oversee development, fundraising, and communications for programs serving LGBTQIA+ individuals. Prior to this, they held the position of Chair of the Commission on Immigrant Affairs at the City of Austin, where they advised on policy and issues concerning immigrants. Juan also has experience in communications, having served as the Director of Communications for both the Workers Defense Project and the Workers Defense Action Fund. Additionally, they worked as the Communications & Marketing Manager at Vivent Health and as an Event Specialist at the same organization.

Juan Benitez has completed the Fundraising Certificate Program at The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, they have pursued Continuing Education in Marketing/Marketing Management at Austin Community College.
