James Barrett has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as MFAB Factory Manager at Texas Instruments since August 2011. In this role, James has focused on improving factory efficiencies through six sigma and lean methodologies, leading various cost and productivity improvement projects. Prior to this, James held several management positions at National Semiconductor UK, including Head of Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed yield improvement and equipment reliability. James also managed the 200mm conversion program at National Semiconductor UK, overseeing project development, budget control, and factory capacity planning. Earlier in the career, James contributed as Lead Integration Engineer and Equipment Engineering Section Manager at National Semiconductor from 1994 to 2002. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Lean Six Sigma for Process Excellence from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University.
