Steven Doyeon Kim

Steven Doyeon Kim is an experienced professional with a strong background in materials science and engineering. Currently serving as the Assistant Operations Manager at Texas Inventionworks since June 2017, Steven also holds roles as a Student Assistant and Executive Committee Advisor. Prior experience includes working as a Research Engineer at KOO & ASSOCIATES INTERNATIONAL, INC. and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Polymer Nanocomposites Laboratory, where responsibilities involved polymer development and characterization using various techniques. Additionally, Steven has a foundational background in teaching Taekwondo at White Tiger Martial Arts. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science (expected May 2026) and a Master of Science in Material Science & Engineering (completed May 2023), both from The University of Texas at Austin, alongside a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.
