J. Downey Bridgwater

Mr. J. Downey Bridgwater is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Texas Medical Center (TMC). Previous serving as Vice Chairman on the Board, Mr.Bridgwater is President of Comerica Bank’s Houston Market. He has been a banker in the Houston area since 1977 and served as the Chairman, President and CEO of Sterling Bancshares, Inc. and Sterling Bank through July 2011 when Sterling was acquired by Comerica. Mr. Bridgwater graduated from the University of Houston.
