Jeff Thompson is an experienced executive in the risk management and insurance sectors, currently serving as the Executive Director at the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool since July 2012, after previously holding the position of Deputy Executive Director. Prior to this role, Jeff was Vice President of Claims & Loss Control at NLC Mutual Insurance Company and served as a Board Member for the Innovation in Insurance initiative at the University of South Carolina. Additionally, Jeff has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at the Moore School of Business, teaching risk management and insurance. Jeff's earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Risk Management Services at the Municipal Association of SC, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing workers' compensation and liability programs. Jeff holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Finance and Risk Management/Insurance, both from the University of South Carolina.
