Michael Martin

Michael Martin serves as Legislative Counsel for the Texas Municipal League, providing legal and legislative services to over 1,200 cities in Texas since January 2023. Prior to this role, Martin was a Senior Associate Attorney at Brown & Hofmeister, L.L.P., where responsibilities included representing clients in various legal matters, advising city officials, and serving as a municipal prosecutor. Experience includes roles as an Associate Attorney in municipal law firms, an Assistant City Attorney for the City of New Orleans, and Chief of Staff and Legislative Counsel in the New Orleans City Council. Martin holds a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School and a BA in Political Science from Marymount University.
