Edwina P. Garza is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in donor family services and journalism. Currently serving as the Donor Family Services Supervisor at Texas Organ Sharing Alliance since May 2012, Edwina has held several roles within the organization, including Donor Family Aftercare Coordinator and Senior Communications Coordinator. Prior to joining Texas Organ Sharing Alliance, Edwina worked as an Assistant Editor at Progress Times and as a Reporter for Freedom Communications. Early career experiences include freelance writing for various publications, including the Business Times of the Rio Grande Valley and Rio Grande Valley Woman magazine. Edwina holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Texas-Pan American.

Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (TOSA) is one of 58 federally-regulated organ procurement organizations in the United States. Established in 1975 as South Texas Organ Bank, TOSA serves Central and South Texas offering organ recovery and donation services for individuals and families who wish to offer others a second chance at life via organ donation. Through our efforts and dedication of staff in our corporate office in San Antonio and regional offices in Austin and McAllen, TOSA has been recognized as one of San Antonio's Top Workplaces and named the 2014 Top Workplace Small Business Winner by the San Antonio-Express News.
