Armando Ponce

Armando Ponce, Ed.D., has extensive experience in higher education and community service, currently serving as the Executive Director of Athletics & Civility at Texas Southmost College since August 2016. Ponce has held various leadership roles at Texas Southmost College, including Executive Director of Student Life at multiple levels and as Director of Student Life/Adjunct Sociology Instructor. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of San Juan and several positions at South Texas College. Ponce holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education from Northcentral University and Concordia University-Portland, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and a Master of Science in Sociology from The University of Texas-Pan American.
