The Animal Care and Training Team at Texas State Aquarium is responsible for the health, welfare, and behavioral training of the diverse array of animals, including marine mammals, birds, and other wildlife. They ensure optimal living conditions through diligent monitoring of animal health and water quality, and they design and implement enrichment and training programs to promote natural behaviors. The team also supports rehabilitation efforts for injured or endangered species, aiming to return them to their natural habitats whenever possible.
