Markita Savage

Markita Savage has extensive experience in operations management and public safety. Currently serving as Operations Manager at Texas State University since May 2005, Markita previously worked as a Police Dispatcher at the same institution from 2001 to 2004. Prior to this, a role as a Volunteer Aquarist was held at the Dallas Aquarium from 1996 to 2000, and Markita gained significant experience as a Corporal and Emergency Communications Operator at the Denton County Sheriff's Department from 1994 to 1999. Markita holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Texas State University, obtained in 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the University of North Texas, earned in 1992.
