Brett Thigpen

Brett Thigpen has a diverse work experience that includes roles in strategy, health policy, program management, research, consulting, and leadership positions. Brett is currently serving as the Director of Strategy at the TTU System Health Policy & Public Health Think Tank and also holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Our Legacy Now Foundation. Previously, they worked as a Program Manager in Health Equity at Covenant Health and as a Research Assistant in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Brett also has experience as a Business Consultant and Analyst at Myrtle Consulting Group.

Brett Thigpen completed a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center from 2023 to 2027. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry at Texas Tech University. Additionally, Brett holds a Core Certification Healthcare Interpreter (CCHI) in Spanish from the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI), obtained in 2020.
