This synthesis route is used for producing mainstream cathode materials for electric vehicles across the world, namely, lithium nickel-manganese-cobalt oxide (NMC) and lithium nickel-cobalt-aluminum oxide (NCA). Their products also offer a value proposition that enables at least 10% higher energy density, 25% lower raw material costs, increased sustainability, and a secure and benign battery supply chain.
