Andrew Cotton has extensive work experience in various roles related to site reliability engineering, technical operations, and productivity engineering.

Andrew'smost recent role is as a Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering at TextNow, where they started in January 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Site Reliability Engineering Manager at TextNow from October 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining TextNow, Andrew worked at Valimail as a Senior Manager of Technical Operations from March 2020 to October 2021. In this role, they managed technical operations, including IT, and was responsible for infrastructure maintenance, automation, capacity planning, and implementing best practices for operations.

From 2018 to 2020, Andrew was employed at CommerceHub, first as a Manager of Productivity Engineering & Support and then as a Lead Developer Productivity Engineer. In these roles, they managed a team that provided development and operations tooling and support, including source control, continuous integration, monitoring, and automation.

Prior to that, Andrew worked as a DevOps Engineer at Apprenda from June 2015 to October 2016, focusing on fixing issues and automating processes. Andrew also gained experience as a Systems Engineer at The Ayco Company, L.P. (a Goldman Sachs Company) from August 2014 to June 2015.

Andrew's career started at CommerceHub in 2011 as an Operations Engineer, where they worked until August 2014. Before entering the tech industry, they served as an I.T. Support Specialist II at Northeast Parent and Child Society from June 2008 to June 2011, and as an ITS HelpDesk Tech / Weekend Supervisor at The College of Saint Rose from November 2006 to June 2011.

Andrew Cotton completed their education at The College of Saint Rose from 2006 to 2018, earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Information Technology and Computer Information Systems. Prior to that, they attended Schenectady High School from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Regents Diploma. In addition, Andrew has obtained a certification as an Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2019.
