Satish Boddu

Satish Boddu has a diverse background in data engineering, data science, and software development.

Starting in 2018, Satish worked as a Software Developer at Emagin, where they collaborated with various teams and utilized Amazon Web Services to stress test projects and develop testing code.

In 2018, Satish also served as a Machine Learning Intern at Ark Paradigm, where they automated currency exchange rate systems, implemented data pipelines, and developed web scrapers.

At Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business, Satish held multiple roles, including Conrad Games Coordinator and Entrepreneur in Training. In these positions, they supported local start-ups, completed an entrepreneurship bootcamp, and assisted with technical projects.

Satish gained experience as a Data Scientist at Deloitte in 2019, where they worked on AI projects focused on relationship management. Satish utilized NLP and machine learning techniques to generate insights from financial reports and transcripts.

In 2019, Satish joined Veeva Systems as a Data Engineer, where they developed logic agents and tools to improve sales team productivity. Satish created a logic agent from scratch and developed an in-house template engine tool in Python.

From 2020 to 2021, Satish worked as a Data Scientist at IBM and as a Quantitative Developer at Squarepoint Capital, respectively.

More recently, Satish has been a Data Engineer at Crossix, where they manipulated datasets and contributed to the insights creation cycle.

Currently, Satish is an Associate Data Engineer at TextNow, starting in 2022.

Throughout their career, Satish has showcased skills in Python, NLP, machine learning, AWS, and RESTful API development.

Satish Boddu obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended Al Khor International School from 2004 to 2017, where they completed their high school education focusing on subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Satish has obtained several certifications. In May 2020, they earned a certification in Python for Data Science from IBM. Satish also holds the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Level certification from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, which they achieved in November 2016. Furthermore, Satish has completed the Entry Level Award in Workplace Hazard Awareness Program, although the specific details about the institution and when they obtained the certification are unavailable. Lastly, they have received training on the Oil & Gas Industry through the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), and they have completed a Youth Entrepreneurship program facilitated by Reach Out To Asia.
