David Swanson

David Swanson, BSAE, MSAE, currently serves as Chairman of the Business Aviation Subcommittee at the Transportation Research Board, leading biannual meetings focused on aviation economics and forecasting. With extensive experience at Textron Aviation since July 2000, David has held various positions including Director of Product Sales Strategy and Senior Analyst in Advanced Analytics, where responsibilities included developing strategic insights and optimizing customer relationships through data analysis. Additionally, David is an accomplished author and playwright, with works that include "The Julian Ark" and the award-winning play "A Paper Tiger in the Rain." David also manages and performs with the Aerotones Big Band, showcasing musical talents alongside a robust engineering career, underpinned by advanced degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Wichita State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
