Stuart Rogerson

Stuart "Chia" Rogerson is an accomplished aviation professional with extensive experience in flight testing and safety. As Chairman of the Flight Test Safety Committee since May 2024, Rogerson oversees flight test safety initiatives. At Textron Aviation since April 2014, Rogerson serves as Chief Pilot for Safety, Standardization, and Training, responsible for all flight test safety for both Textron Aviation and Textron Aviation Defense. Previous roles include Chief Pilot, Flight Test Manager, and Senior Engineering Test Pilot, notably contributing to the Scorpion Jet and Citation Longitude programs. Rogerson has held various leadership positions within the Society of Experimental Test Pilots and has a distinguished background as an F-16 Experimental Test Pilot in the USAF and an F-18 Instructor and Experimental Test Pilot in the Canadian Forces. Rogerson earned a Master of Applied Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science from Royal Roads Military College.
