Joshua Gaastra has had a diverse work experience. Joshua began their career in 2012 as a Volunteer Coordinator and Head Usher and Hospitality Team Captain at Soka University of America. In 2013, they began working as a Seasonal Ocean Lifeguard for the City of Newport Beach Marines Safety Division. In 2014, they took on the role of Staff Assistant at Gen Next. In 2017, they joined AT&T as a Sales Consultant. In 2018, they started at TextUs as an Associate Product Manager, Tier 3 Support Engineer, Customer Experience Representative, Account Executive, and Sales Development Representative.

Joshua Gaastra received their Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Humanities from Soka University of America in 2016. Joshua attended Lahainaluna High School from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from the Scrum Alliance in April 2022.
