Paula Huston is a faculty member at Seattle Pacific University, where they teach creative nonfiction in the low-residency MFA in Creative Writing Program (co-sponsored by Image). They have been a faculty member at Glen Workshop since 1997, teaching creative nonfiction at the annual week-long arts and faith workshop, and they teach in the GlenOnline program. They are a self-employed writer since 1980, writing literary fiction, creative nonfiction, and spiritual nonfiction for Catholic publishers; their books include Daughters of Song (Random House, 1995), Signatures of Grace (Dutton, 2000), The Holy Way (Loyola, 2003), By Way of Grace (Loyola, 2007), Forgiveness (Paraclete, 2009), and Simplifying the Soul (Ave Marie, 2012). They earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the California State University Consortium and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Cal Poly.
