Derek Cridebring, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Derek began their career as a Preventive Medicine Specialist in the United States Army Reserves from 1999 to 2007. Following this, they pursued their education and worked as a Graduate Student at Baylor College of Medicine from 2001 to 2008. In 2008, they joined The Methodist Hospital as a Project & Operations Manager, where they oversaw various departmental functions and led a Clinical Informatics team.

In 2009, Derek served as the President of the UAAA Houston Chapter until 2012. Additionally, they worked as an Online Instructor at Grand Canyon University from 2008 to 2009. In 2013, they joined TGen - Part of City of Hope as the Director of the Molecular Medicine Division, where they managed early phase clinical trials and pancreatic cancer research projects.

Currently, Derek holds the position of Vice President in the Molecular Medicine Division and Clinical Partner Relations at TGen - Part of City of Hope. Derek'sresponsibilities include developing new anti-cancer agents, collaborating with pharma companies, CROs, and key opinion leaders, as well as overseeing clinical partner relations. Moreover, they serve as a Partner at Origin since 2017, where they are responsible for relationship development, direction of biopharma initiatives, and leading early phase drug development and cancer early detection efforts.
