James Harris has extensive work experience in business development and management roles. James was the Vice President of Business Development at the Translational Genomics Research Institute, where they were responsible for overseeing sponsored research, collaborative development, and technology projects. Prior to that, they worked at Beckman Coulter Inc. as the Vice President/General Manager of the Particle Characterization Business Center, where they successfully reversed a decline in profitability and exceeded revenue and profit objectives. James also served as the Vice President/Director of the Life Science Tools Business Center at Beckman Coulter, where they directed global revenue and strategic planning for multiple product lines. Additionally, James was involved in business development activities, negotiating and closing key transactions and partnerships. James was also a co-founder and chairperson of the Purchasers and Suppliers Committee at BIO International. Before their career in business development, James worked in commercial real estate.

James then went on to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing/Marketing Management, General at the University of Phoenix, studying from 1999 to 2001.
