Jatan Clark has a diverse work experience in research administration. Jatan started in 1992 as a Manager at the Office of Research Services in the University of Illinois at Chicago. Jatan then worked as a Program Administrator at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center in Northwestern University from 2001 to 2003. In Loyola University Chicago, they served as a Manager in the Post Award department from 2003 to 2004. Jatan then joined Northwestern University again as a Division Administrator in the Gastroenterology department from 2004 to 2006. After that, they became the Director of Grant and Contract Accounting in the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2011. Currently, Jatan is working at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). Jatan started as a Manager in the Office of Sponsored Research from 2011 to 2013, then became the Director of the same office until 2019. Presently, they hold the position of Senior Director in the Office of Sponsored Research.
Jatan Clark earned a Doctor of Health Administration degree from the University of Phoenix from 2014 to 2020. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Illinois Chicago between 2002 and 2005. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Chicago State University from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Law Studies.
