Stephanie Buchholtz, PhD has over 20 years of work experience in the field of genomics and research compliance. Stephanie began their career at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) in 1997 as a Pre-doctoral Intern. Following that, they joined Novartis as an Associate Scientist for three years. In 2003, Buchholtz joined the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) where they worked in various roles including Staff Scientist, Regulatory Affairs Specialist, and eventually as the Senior Director of the Office of Research Compliance & Quality Management. Stephanie held this position for 15 years until 2018.
Stephanie Buchholtz, PhD obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology/Biology & Society with an emphasis on Bioethics, Policy & Law from Arizona State University in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Genetics, Genetic Counseling from the University of Arizona in the years 2001 to 2003. Additionally, Stephanie earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, Molecular and Cellular from Northern Arizona University from 1992 to 1997.
