David Trasler

David Trasler is a seasoned commercial sports lawyer currently serving as Global General Counsel for TGI Sport since February 2024. Prior roles include Head of Commercial Legal at FIFA from August 2019 to March 2024, where responsibilities encompassed legal and regulatory matters related to commercial revenue activities, including sports marketing and e-commerce. Previously, David held the position of Senior Legal Counsel at Manchester United from March 2012 to August 2019, focusing on sports marketing and broadcasting. David’s legal career began at DLA Piper, where qualified as a solicitor in 2010, after obtaining a GDL and LPC from BPP Law School. Academic qualifications also include a BMus from the University of Leeds and additional studies at California State University, Fresno.
