Sougata Halder

Sougata Halder, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Geoscientist and Project Manager for New Energy Solutions at TGS, a position held since 2019. Prior to this role, Halder worked as an Advanced Interpretation Geophysicist at WesternGeco, Schlumberger from 2014 to 2018, focusing on seismic structural and stratigraphic interpretation and velocity model building in the Gulf of Mexico. Halder’s earlier experience at Schlumberger from 2009 to 2014 as a Reservoir Geologist involved providing integrated subsurface analysis for exploration and development projects, while an internship in 2007 as a Borehole Geologist included image log interpretation and multiwell correlation. Halder holds a PhD in Geology/Earth Science from Southern Methodist University and an MS in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Calcutta.
