In 2004, TGW Logistics co-founder and owner Ludwig Szinicz established the TGW Future Private Foundation in Wels, Upper Austria, and entrusted it with his life’s work: 100% of his shares in TGW Logistics. His goal was to ensure that the company would remain independent and continue to operate sustainably in line with his values.

From this understanding, today’s TGW World emerged, consisting of the TGW Future Private Foundation and its two foundation divisions: TGW Logistics and the non-profit division TGW Future Wings. Three elements that together demonstrate how industrial and social entrepreneurship, responsibility and holistic development can be meaningfully combined. At the centre of the TGW World lies the foundation philosophy with its guiding principle: “Focusing on people – learning and growing.” It describes a mindset that connects personal and professional development with a strong commitment to performance. Where people are strengthened and empowered holistically, they are able to take responsibility and deliver outstanding results. Only in this way can TGW Logistics remain successful and competitive in the long term and generate the profits required to enable development, innovation and societal value creation. What matters most, however, is HOW these profits are generated and WHAT they are used for – and this is what makes the difference in the TGW World.
