Nathaniel Vish

Nathaniel Vish serves as the Director of HMI Semester at High Mountain Institute since July 2022, contributing to experiential education and leadership. With extensive experience at North Carolina Outward Bound School since May 2009, Nathaniel participates in the DEI Committee, engages with the Board of Directors on safety and program initiatives, co-chairs the Program Committee, and supports scholarship fundraising through the Washington, DC Advisory Board. Previous roles include Director of Outdoor Programs and Mathematics Instructor at The Hotchkiss School, as well as a Mathematics Teacher and Dean at Georgetown Day School, where Nathaniel also founded the indoor rock climbing program. Educational qualifications include an Ed.M in Private School Leadership from Columbia University and an MA in Mathematics from Wake Forest University.
