Julie Griggs

Julie Griggs is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at Thaden School since July 2022, previously teaching at Bentonville Schools from August 2011 to June 2022. Griggs specializes in integrating art into content classrooms, fostering empathy through arts, history, and diverse texts, and developing standards-based curriculum and assessments while actively collaborating within professional learning communities. Notably, Griggs was a Reese Fellow at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in 2019, focusing on curriculum development. Prior to a career in education, Griggs held various roles at Tyson Foods, including Consumer Insights Analyst and Technical Writing Team Leader, and operated as a Self Employed Project Leader. Griggs earned a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary English Language Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Arkansas.
