Fabio Lucchini

Fabio Lucchini is an accomplished Satellite Engineering Manager currently leading the optical panchromatic Earth observation satellite system at Thales Alenia Space since April 2023. With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Lucchini has extensive experience in overseeing satellite projects, including the PRISMA SG hyperspectral Earth observation system and the NIMBUS micro-satellite platform. Previous roles include Thermo-Mechanical Project Manager and Thermo-Mechanical and Propulsion Architect, responsible for various programs, such as Galileo 2nd Generation and the O3b connectivity satellite network. Lucchini has demonstrated expertise in managing project teams, defining spacecraft requirements, and coordinating design and development activities throughout an impressive career spanning over two decades in the aerospace industry.
