Guillaume Butel, Ph.D., currently serves as the Future Optical Payload Technical Authority and Optical Payload System Engineer at Thales Alenia Space, beginning in September 2015, where responsibilities include acting as Project Design Authority for Optical Payload and Study Manager for Phase 0, A/B1. Prior to this, Guillaume held the position of IVVQ Manager on the Meteosat Third Generation project at SAVIMEX from May 2014 to September 2015 and worked as a Project Manager and Metrology Engineer, overseeing projects related to the industrialization and production of optical components. Academic experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Associate at the University of Arizona from September 2008 to December 2013, focusing on metrology projects and HCPV system efficiency enhancement.
