Ivan Sumelzo

Ivan Sumelzo is an experienced aerospace engineer specializing in attitude and orbit control systems (AOCS). Currently serving as a Space Inspire AOCS architect and engineer at Thales Alenia Space since October 2016, Ivan has played a key role in the development of future telecommunications platforms and has served as an AOCS engineer for the Spacebus NEO project, focusing on electrical orbit raising and station keeping. Ivan has participated in multiple LEOP operations, including Eutelsat KONNECT and SES17. Prior to Thales Alenia Space, Ivan worked as a Flight Dynamics engineer at CNES, developing numerical propagation and mission analysis tools. Ivan holds degrees from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and ISAE-SUPAERO.
