Lionel Guibellini has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Lionel began their career in 1997 at AEROSPATIALE - ALCATEL SPACE INDUSTRY as the AOCS On-Board Software Development Manager for the Proteus Jason project. In 2002, they joined Thales Alenia Space and served as the Proteus On-Board Software Project Manager until 2007. From 2007 to 2015, they were the Globalstar2 and O3B On-Board Software Project Manager at Thales Alenia Space. Since 2015, they have held various roles at Thales Alenia Space, including being the IRN OBSW Recovery Plan Manager, IVV & On Board Software Development Factory Head of Department, and the On-Board Software Head of Department. Currently, they serve as the Head of Engineering Delivery, a position they have held since January 2022.
Lionel Guibellini's education history begins in 1992 when they attended Robert Gordon University. Lionel pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, but the field of study beyond that is unknown. In the following year, from 1993 to 1994, they continued their education at Cranfield University, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Avionics. Finally, from 1994 to 1996, Lionel pursued a higher level of education at Cranfield University, obtaining a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Avionics.
