Chief Engineer In Charge Of Telecom Major Programs Development at Thales Alenia Space

Michel TATARD has a diverse work experience in the space industry. Michel started their career as a Scientist at the commmissariat a l'energie atomique from 1988 to 1989. Michel then worked as a Payload engineer at Interface SA in 1989. In 1990, they joined Alcatel Espace, where they held various engineering and managerial roles, including Advanced payloads study engineer, Turksat 1C Payload Manager, WorldStar payloads technical manager, Head of Advanced Payloads engineering department, and Koreasat 5 Payload Manager. From 2005 onwards, Michel has been working at Thales Alenia Space, where they have held positions such as Mobile Satcom systems study engineer, Iridium NEXT deputy system architect and transmission layer designer, Head of transmission and system sizing department, Konnect VHTS program Chief Engineer, and currently serves as the Chief Engineer in charge of telecom major programs development.

Michel TATARD obtained a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ecole centrale de Lyon in 1987. Afterward, they specialized in Radio-communications at CentraleSupélec in 1988.
