Bertrand Tavernier

Bertrand Tavernier is an experienced technology executive currently serving as the VP Chief Technical Officer for Secure Communication & Information Systems at Thales since March 2018, having previously held roles as VP Deputy CTO and VP Software Technologies within the same division. Prior to Thales, Bertrand held the position of VP System Development & Integration for the Public Security Business Unit at IDEMIA, responsible for the design, build, and delivery of critical security systems. Bertrand's earlier career included significant roles at Safran Electronics & Defense, where responsibilities ranged from Engineering Process Group Manager to Software Manager, and at VaST Systems Technology as Senior Technical Leader. Bertrand began professional development at Cril Technology, progressing from Software Engineer to Department Head of Embedded Software. Additionally, Bertrand has academic experience as a lecturer at Université Paris Diderot, teaching software design at the master's level. An alumnus of Centrale Nantes, Bertrand holds a Master’s degree in Engineering.
