Chris Darby

Chris Darby is an accomplished engineering professional currently serving as the Avionics Engineering Director at Thales Australia since January 2022, leading teams in delivering defense-focused solutions across Air, Land, and Sea domains. Prior roles at Thales include Engineering Delivery Manager and Solution Engineering Manager, focusing on the Land 907 Phase 2 M1A2 SEPv3 Main Battle Tank Immersive Tactical Trainer project for the Australian Army. Chris has extensive experience in transportation projects, having worked as Technical Director and Associate Director Engineering for the Parramatta Light Rail project at Transport for NSW. Previous roles at CAE spanned from Engineering Manager - Technical Solutions to Group Leader in Simulation Software Engineering, with earlier experience at ILID managing electronic shelf label projects.
