Darren Smallman

Darren Smallman is an accomplished music marketing and production professional with extensive experience in various roles across the music and arts sectors. Currently serving as the Owner of Chimp vs God and a Partner at God Unknown Records since March 2024, Darren has also held the position of Head of Digital, Marketing and Communications at Thames Festival Trust since June 2019. As a seasoned Producer, Musician, and Songwriter, Darren has contributed to multiple bands, including Dez Dare and Warped, and has a history of owning and operating music businesses that manage record labels and associated services. With previous roles in marketing management at Brighton Fringe and Trinity Theatre, as well as a background in A&R and business development through BATTLE WORLDWIDE and Low Transit Industries, Darren has built a robust network within the industry. Educationally, Darren holds certificates in Leadership and Management, Multimedia Design, and Adobe Creative Suite.
