Mark Fisher has a diverse and extensive work experience in the education field. Mark recently served as the Director of Education and CEO at Thames Valley District School Board. Prior to that, they worked at Durham District School Board as an Associate Director and Superintendent of Education. Mark also held the position of Superintendent of Education at HPEDSB - Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. Mark's experience also includes working as a Student Achievement Officer at the Ontario Ministry of Education. At Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, they served as a System Principal - Special Education Services, where they supervised a team of educational professionals and achieved significant academic gains for students with special needs. Mark began their career at Durham District School Board as a Vice-Principal and Special Education Facilitator.
Mark Fisher holds a Master of International Education (Leadership) degree with a specialization in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Charles Sturt University. Mark also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from McGill University. In addition, Mark has a Master of Science in Education (Teaching and Learning) focusing on Elementary Education and Teaching from Niagara University. Furthermore, they have obtained various certifications including Instructional Rounds Training from Harvard University, Ontario Certified Teacher from the Ontario College of Teachers, Principals' Qualification Program from the Ontario Principals' Council, Special Education Specialist from York University, and a Supervisory Officer's Certificate from the Ontario College of Teachers.
