Jason Hogg

Deputy Chief Constable at Thames Valley Police

Jason Hogg joined Thames Valley Police in June 2016 as Assistant Chief Constable Crime and Criminal Justice and then for Counter Terrorism Policing South East & Regional Organized Crime Unit.

On the 1 April 2019, Jason took up the role of Deputy Chief Constable of Thames Valley Police.

Jason previously worked for Hampshire Constabulary where he held a number of roles as a Chief Superintendent including Head of Crime and Head of Prevention and Neighbourhoods. He started his police career at Cleveland Police in 1995 before transferring to Hampshire in 2001.

He has spent most of his career working in Criminal Investigation roles, serving as a detective in every rank. He has been a member of the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) Child Protection and Child Death working groups and was involved in delivering training on the National Senior Investigation Officer (SIO) development programme. During his career Jason has been on extended secondments with Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).

He leads nationally for the Police in respect of Prisons and Lifetime Offender Management which is focused on developing an approach to disrupting the highest risk individuals engaged in organized crime. He also leads nationally on Detective Recruitment and ensuring the Police Service has sufficient numbers of accredited investigators to investigate crime and bring offenders to justice.
