Marc Brighton is a skilled metallurgist with extensive experience in chemical engineering and process design. Currently employed at Tharisa since January 2021, Marc previously worked as a process engineer at Zimbabwe Lithium Company (Ltd) from March 2019 to January 2021, focusing on process design, research, and environmental considerations. As a junior research fellow at the University of Cape Town, Marc contributed to advancing post-graduate research in biorefineries and wastewater treatment. Early in the career, Marc designed and installed water treatment systems at Cape Town Mini-Boreholes and conducted extensive research as a PhD candidate at the Centre for Bioprocess Engineering Research. Academic qualifications include a PhD and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
