Lillian Muir

Lillian Muir has a diverse work experience in the field of robotics and marine science. Lillian started their career in 2015 as a Student Assistant/Aquarius at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they gained experience in animal care, maintenance, and handling sea animals. In 2017, they joined the University of Rhode Island as a Graduate Research Assistant in Dr. Chris Roman's Lab, focusing on Deep Sea Autonomous Profiling. Their research involved using electronic data profiles and physical bottle samples to depths of 11,000 meters. Currently, they are working as a Robotics Engineer at ThayerMahan Inc. since 2019.

Lillian Muir pursued their education in a systematic manner, starting with their Bachelor's degree in Engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2013 to 2017. Lillian then continued their academic journey by pursuing a Master's degree in Ocean Engineering at the University of Rhode Island from 2017 to 2019. Throughout their education, Lillian demonstrated a consistent interest in the engineering field, progressing from their undergraduate studies to advanced coursework focusing on ocean engineering.
