Sara McFarlane, MBA has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations.

Starting in 2011, they served as the Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge in the 90th Human Resources Company, where they managed a foreign deployed Postal Operations unit. Sara'sresponsibilities included sorting and forwarding mail, as well as creating efficient mail routing through accurate shipping documentation.

From 2012 to 2014, Sara worked as an Intelligence Watch Officer at Commander, Undersea Surveillance. In this role, they independently maintained a real-time, worldwide, maritime intelligence watch. Sara also collected and researched relevant all-source intelligence data for historical databases and contributed to assessments on complex acoustic problems.

In 2014, Sara joined Commander, Undersea Surveillance (CUS) as an Intelligence Research Specialist. Sara directed a team of 15 people, conducted acoustic accountability/reconstruction, and developed and revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and accuracy. Sara also conducted daily IUSS acoustic contact analysis and track reconstruction, providing feedback to watch teams and deployed units.

Prior to these roles, Sara served as a Petty Officer First Class, STG1 in the US Navy from 2005 to 2014. Additionally, they worked as a SONAR Supervisor on the USS Monterey, CG-61 from 2007 to 2011, where they supervised 16 operators and analyzed numerous acoustic signatures. Sara also reorganized and maintained critical certification requirements for successful unit level training events.

Most recently, Sara joined ThayerMahan Inc. in 2022 as an Analyst.

Sara McFarlane received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Leadership from Regent University between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology at American Military University in 2018. In 2011, Sara earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Supervision and Management from Coastline College.
