Vince Premus

Chief Science Officer & VP at ThayerMahan

Vince has over 25 years’ experience in the research and development of technology and algorithms for underwater acoustic signal and array processing.

Prior to joining ThayerMahan, Vince served as Vice President and Principal Scientist at OASIS where he led the development, integration, and at-sea testing of real-time, autonomous surveillance systems. Clients under his purview included multiple U.S. Navy programs, most notably the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Persistent Littoral Undersea Surveillance Innovative Naval Prototype (PLUS-INP) program.

Prior to OASIS, Vince was a member of the Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory where he contributed to the research and development of adaptive signal processing for submarine towed arrays. He holds multiple patents and has authored journal publications related to underwater acoustics and digital signal processing technology for passive acoustic surveillance systems.

Vince lives with his wife, Denene, and two children.
