Jacob Oller

Jacob Oller is an accomplished film editor with extensive experience in film and television criticism. Currently serving as the Film Editor for The A.V. Club since April 2024, Jacob previously held the position of Movies Editor at Paste Magazine from August 2016 to September 2024, where responsibilities included editing and writing for the Movies section. Additional freelance writing roles have included contributions to various publications such as the Los Angeles Times, Onion, Inc., and The Hollywood Reporter, among others. Jacob also has a background in news and features writing for NBCUniversal Media, alongside contributing film reviews to Magill's Cinema Annual. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Cinema and Media Studies from DePaul University and a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems and Film & Video Studies from the University of Oklahoma.
