Matthew Killick

Matthew Killick has a strong background in IT infrastructure and storage and backup roles. Matthew currently holds the position of IT Technical Lead - Storage and Backup at The AA, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Synamedia as a Principal IT Infrastructure Architect from 2018 to 2023 and as a Senior Lead Infrastructure Architect from 2021 to 2023. Matthew also served as the Storage and Backup Lead from 2018 to 2021. Before Synamedia, Killick worked at Cisco and NDS, which is now a part of Cisco. At Cisco, they held various roles including SPVSS Storage and Backup Lead from 2015 to 2018, Infrastructure Architect from 2008 to 2015, and Infrastructure Architect at NDS from 2008 to 2013. Matthew'searliest work experience was at P&O Ferries, where they worked as an IT Support Analyst from 1988 to 1997.

Matthew Killick has a solid education history in the field of IT. Matthew started their academic journey at Bay House School from 1981 to 1987. Matthew then pursued further education at Highbury College, where they earned their ONC and HNC in Computing with Merit from 1989 to 1993. In 1995, Matthew attended the University of Portsmouth and achieved an HND in Computing with Merit. Matthew continued to enhance their skills through various IT training courses and certifications, including becoming a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals by Microsoft in 2023. Alongside their academic achievements, Matthew obtained multiple NetApp certifications, such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator, ONTAP, and NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer - Data Protection Specialist, among others, demonstrating their expertise in data storage and cloud solutions.
