Ali Russell

Ali Russell currently serves as the Impact Lead for the Indigenous Affairs Team at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), overseeing investigative projects and collaborative initiatives since July 2018. Russell has a strong background in producing, having held positions such as Senior Producer and Producer for ABC's Four Corners, as well as Series Producer for the award-winning program You Can't Ask That. Previously, Russell worked as a Supervising Producer for both Background Briefing and ABC Arts, where contributions included impactful investigative work and the creation of digital content. Prior experience includes producing for Seven Network Limited's Sunday Night and serving as Director/Producer/Shooter for Hungry Beast at Zapruder's Other Films. Russell began as a freelance documentary director/producer, crafting award-winning independent films for various networks and festivals from 2006 to 2011.
