Ian Comerford

Ian Comerford is an experienced technology professional with a comprehensive background in IT infrastructure and broadcast media. Currently serving as the Lead Platform Operations Engineer at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation since December 2020, Ian previously held the position of Head of Technology for Ericsson Broadcast and Media Services, managing technology strategies and systems for broadcast applications in Australia. Ian's career includes roles such as IT Infrastructure and Security Consultant for various clients, including YouView TV and the BBC, and Principal Engineer at Red Bee Media where responsibilities included client liaison and support for media management platforms. Ian's earlier roles span infrastructure management at Corona Energy and technical support for Legal & General's Future Product Framework Project. Ian holds a BSc (Hons) in Physics from The University of Sheffield and is a Red Hat Certified Engineer.
