Julia Bergin

Julia Bergin is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in news reporting and investigative journalism. Currently serving as a News Reporter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) since April 2024, Julia has also worked for The New York Times as a Freelance Reporter and has held various roles at Crikey, including Northern Territory Correspondent and Science Reporter. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Research Reporter at First Draft, an Investigative Reporter at the Judith Neilson Institute, and research positions at CJZ and ANU College of Asia & the Pacific. Julia's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Politics/International Relations and Criminology from the University of Melbourne.
