The ABC
Monika O'Hanlon is an experienced audio producer currently working with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) since April 2021. Prior to this role, Monika completed a traineeship in Certificate 1 Conservation and Land Management at ECOllaboration in early 2021. Monika served as Station Manager and Announcer at Gove fm from June 2018 to September 2019, hosting the morning show and overseeing daily operations of the radio station. Earlier experience includes content creation for Bluethumb, freelance writing for Star Observer, and a freelance journalism role with Sensa Nostra, where Monika also participated in a journalism traineeship in Berlin. Monika holds a Bachelor of Journalism, Creative Industries and Public Relations from Griffith University, completed in 2012, and a Tertiary Entrance Rank from Nhulunbuy High School, graduated in 2008.
