The Abington of Glenview

We serve individuals in need of medical care. Whether the need is for 24-hour skilled nursing, everyday living assistance, intense rehabilitation after surgery or a debilitating illness, or outpatient physical therapy for a major or minor injury, our staff can accommodate the patient. Our care giving is holistic: we consider all the needs of our patients - physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological and social - in any treatment program. Participation of the patient's family is welcomed. With 196 beds, The Abington of Glenview has floor plans and room plans that match patients needs. We understand the special needs of Alzheimer's care. At the Abington of Glenview we look at residents who are cognitively impaired as individuals with individual needs and wants. The Abington has developed successful strategies for the care of these residents. These strategies require high levels of ability, creativity and insight from our specially trained team members. Our Dementia Unit is a comfortable and supportive environment that we feel is just the right size to meet resident's individual needs. The small, structured activity programs provide an optimal atmosphere for residents to share and enjoy leisure activities without feeling overwhelmed by outside disruptions. Our caring, clinically trained nurses, social workers and activity assistants provide specially designed programs to promote health, dignity and self-respect.
