Abigail Bloy

Abigail Bloy is an experienced science policy professional currently serving as the Interim Head of International and Senior International Policy Manager at the Academy of Medical Sciences since July 2023. Previously, Abigail held the position of Science Policy Manager at the Institute of Cancer Research from March 2021 to July 2023, focusing on developing positions related to cancer research policy. Prior roles at the Academy of Medical Sciences included leading international policy activities and managing projects related to global health challenges. Abigail completed a PhD in Microbiology at the University of Leeds, where research focused on Hepatocellular Carcinoma and chronic Hepatitis C infection. Additionally, Abigail has a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Bath and has garnered research experience from various institutions, including the Barrow Neurological Institute.
